I RO HA NI HO HE TO CHI RI NU RU
Ay-O
22 (sat) ~ 24 (mon) February OPEN : 12:00~18:00
In 2015, a general incorporated foundation was established based on the building that painter Ay-O used as his studio and residence, and it has continued its activities ever since. Currently, in addition to preserving and managing Ay-O’s works, 360° is also assisting in these efforts.
From February 22 to 24, an exhibition titled I RO HA NI HO HE TO CHI RI RU will be held at the Ay-O Museum in Namegata City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The exhibition will feature newly created prints from last year, a screening of a rediscovered 16mm film from the 1960s, and a multimedia installation Rainbow Hall "Hotei", which visitors can experience firsthand. Additionally, on the first day, February 22, a special opening event, The Beginning, will be held with Ay-O and Kenryo Sukeda, a master printer of Ay-O's prints.
The museum is approximately a 1.5-hour ride from Tokyo Station via the "Kashima Line" highway bus, which operates relatively frequently. Shuttle service will also be available, so we would be delighted if you could attend. To reserve a seat on the shuttle, please make a reservation at the following link:
